James Harrington

James Harrington is the founder and CEO of Ironclad Construction Co., a firm he built from a 5-person crew into one of the Southwest's most respected construction companies. Born into a family of builders, James spent his childhood on job sites and earned his civil engineering degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1992.

After a decade honing his skills at national construction firms, James recognized a gap in the market: clients needed a contractor who combined enterprise-level systems with the personal accountability of a small business. In 2003, he founded Ironclad to fill that gap.

Under his leadership, Ironclad has earned an A+ BBB rating, multiple safety excellence awards, and has appeared on ENR's Top 100 Contractors list three years running. James personally reviews every proposal over $5M and remains hands-on in client relationships at all levels.
